ST. CLOUD β St. Cloud State University has appointed Abbey Zink to the position of provost and vice president for academic affairs, according to a news release.
The university announced the appointment on Monday, April 17. Zink will begin her duties on July 1.
Zink has 12 years of "progressive leadership in higher education" and will play a key leadership role in advancing the universityβs "Itβs Time" framework for the future of SCSU , according to the release.
β(Zink) is a forward-thinking and proactive leader who is committed to building on our institutional strengths,β SCSU President Robbyn Wacker said in the release.
Previously, Zink served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sam Houston State University in Texas. She earned her doctorate in English at Northern Illinois University and her M.A. in English and B.A. in journalism at Marshall University in West Virginia, according to the release.
